Thomas Roberson

Tom Roberson is a Security Consultant for Concentric Advisors; a risk consultancy that specializes in delivering strategic security services. Tom has more than 20 years of leadership experience, in both the private and public sectors, with an in-depth knowledge of physical security, crisis management, and security design and implementation.

Prior to joining Concentric Advisors, Tom lead the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Security Operations Team. Tom was accountable for the organization’s international security efforts, working with internal and external partners at the international, national and local levels to create a safe and secure environment for the foundation’s people and assets throughout the world. He played a key role in establishing programs for workplace violence; international business continuity and crisis management; and security awareness, as well as led the formation of the foundation’s Duty of Care program.

Tom retired from the U.S. Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, as a Chief Warrant Officer Four. He also served as both a Police Officer and K-9 Handler for the Raytown Missouri Police Department.

Tom is a Founding Member and the Treasurer of INSSA. Additionally, he served as a Co-Chair of the Africa Regional Council and was a founding member of the Steering Committee of the International Development Working Group, both of the Overseas Security Advisory Council, U.S. Department of State.
