SECURITY ASSOCIATE G6 May 2017 - Present United Nations World Food Programme Maiduguri, Borno State Achievements Successfully supported Banki missions from Jan 2018 to April 2018 for the initial SCOPE registration of about 45,000 beneficiaries. Provide security information/advisory to programme staff and partners such as FHI360, INTERSOS, IOM, MSF, and UNHCR. Maintaining up-to-date instructions for personnel on the precautions they should take concerning the implementation of security plans, including a comprehensive listing of emergency supplies they should have on hand and guidance on action taken during emergencies, including natural disasters and political crises. Review security-related information (e.g. security incidents and events, security support to daily activities, etc.) and use corporate or local information management tools to produce a range of analyses and in-depth reports, to ensure that information is readily available for relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities Monitor the security preparedness of country staff and enforce staff compliance with internal security rules and SOPs, ensuring they are communicated to all staff and understood. Conducts assessment of prevailing local security conditions, identifying security trends and advising UN personnel, project personnel, and eligible dependents on security issues. Ensure a proper level of preparation before moving on the field, ensure transportation means are adapted, ensure good fleet maintenance, and set movement rules which are adapted to the local context to support the Logistic team in the Country. Ensure operational follow-up of movements. Facilitate and regularly update the country's security profile (with regards to the socio-economic, political, and/or military situation in the country, the country's criminality profile, the nature of ongoing conflicts or crises climatic & seismic hazards, and health risks. Plan and coordinate staff activities during field missions and perform security assessments within the area of responsibility to support safe and effective program delivery.
