JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for security of company’s personnel, physical properties, staff, business partners and visitors in respective work area. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS: Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities: a) Ensure the contracted security services effectively guard premises & installations. b) Facilitate implementation of Corporate Security Policy and Procedures on issues touching on security. c) Oversee security surveillance in all installation in respective areas. d) Ensuring the existence of cordial relations with the communities neighbouring Installations in Liaison with other Divisions and Departments. Operational Responsibilities/Tasks: a) Conduct ad-hoc inspections to all installations when appropriate in order to establish the level of alertness and preparedness of the contracted security provided. b) Overall security liaison officer between the company and government security organs on behalf of the Station Manager and the Security & Integrity Manager, c) Overall in charge of contract administration for company and contracted security firm at the respective area. d) Submit monthly security reports to the Area Manager and copy the same to Security & Integrity Manager. e) Verify and confirm the authenticity of monthly security invoices by security service providers for timely and accurate payment. f) Formulate standard Security Standing Procedures for all stations and ensure that its implementation is fully adhered to. g) Liaise with Government Security agencies on all aspects regarding to company security. JOB DIMENSIONS: Financial Responsibility: Planning and monitoring the Security & Integrity budget with a view of optimal utilisation of funds. within a station. Responsibility for Physical Assets: a) Responsible for physical security of all assets in respective areas. b) Responsible for the security of company employees, visitors and business partners in company facilities/premises within respective areas. Decision Making/ Job Influence: Make decisions using standard operating procedures. Working conditions: a. 40% office function and 60% field operations. b. High risk work environment due to the nature of security mandate. c. Handling confidential security, integrity and proprietary information d. Working in a 24 hours environment including Public holidays and annual leave e. Handling of communities issue based on cultural intelligence . Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes/Skills): Academic Qualifications: a) Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Security b) Security certifications from government (Military) and International Security Institutions.
